Frequently Asked QuestionsHow do I know which is the right size of bike for me? This varies due to height and inside leg measurement but we do recommend the following: Children's Bikes Generally children fall into age categories based on average size and height. 12" Wheel - Age 2½ to 5 years 14" Wheel - Age 4 to 6 years 16" Wheel - Age 5 to 7 years 18" Wheel - Age 6 to 8 years 20" Wheel - Age 7 to 9 years 24" Wheel - Age 9 to 11 years Adult's Bikes In adult bikes (26" or 700c wheel for road bikes)the size is determined by the frame size. This is measured from the top of the frame at the point where the seat post is inserted to the centre of the axle carrying the pedal arms. As a general guide to finding the correct frame size we recommend that you measure you inside leg measurement to the floor then subtract 3" for mountain bikes or 1" for road bikes then subtract 10". This will give you the maximum frame size you need. If you are unsure about anything and need advice then please contact us. We are happy to advise in all cases and can compare your measurement to our display bikes in order to find the most suitable bike for you. Is there a discount for multiple purchases We are happy to offer a discount of £5 per bike when more than one are purchased. Please contact us to find out more about our multiple purchase scheme. Does my bike come assembled? All of our bikes come boxed and basic assembly is required. Please see our assembly guide above for more details. How long will delivery take after I've placed my order? We aim to despatch all of our bikes the same day that the order is received (Monday to Friday) and if there is a delay then we will contact you by email with an estimated delivery date. Delivery is usually within 1-2 days with our reliable courier service. Can I have my order delivered to another address? This is fine. We are happy to despatch bikes to another address if this is more convenient. Please include this in an email to us with your order number. I need my order by a certain date. Can you do this? Please contact us with your requirements. We are happy to help and will ensure that your order leaves within the best possible time to arrive on a certain date. We also have a Christmas and Birthday club where we can store your order for you then despatch closer to the time. Can I track my delivery? We can provide full details of your consignment number and ways to track this with our courier which include over the telephone and online. What if my order has parts missing or damaged The majority of our goods are delivered in excellent condition but we do accept that in a small number of cases, that damage may occur on-route. All of our products are checked before they leave us to ensure that they are in the best condition. If any parts are missing or damaged then please contact us and we can send replacement parts to you. Due to the discounted sale price we will not be responsible for any labour / set up charges if you are unable to complete this yourself. If you would like to collect your order from our store we can arrange to have you bike set up, ready to ride by one of our qualified mechanics (this service will be at extra cost.) |
